Protestors were seen blocking Oxford Road outside the "Cornerhouse" around 6pm on Thursday 27 March, after a rally at Piccadilly Gardens. There were a good 200 with banners and plackards with massive "Stop the War" banner stretched width-ways across the road. Police were redirecting traffic, but some bus drivers were actually forcing their buses through the blockade. The police were unable to stop the protestors moving down towards the BBC and amassing around the steps of the building. The slogans had changed from simply 'stop the war' and 'no blood for oils' to ones highlighting issues with the way the war is being reported.
