Editorial
Firstly, an apology to readers for this issue being a month late. This was essentially due to keeping the web site up to date with anti-war news and reviews of events plus work commitments (creating a framework for the Tyndall Centre to perform climate change research). However, I hope you find it's worth the wait. Not only is it a "bumper" issue, but even then there was insufficient space for everything.
As ever, feedback on the web site and newsletter is most welcome.
What's it all about?
For those who're unsure what the "Networking Newsletter Project" is, its mission is to help social campaigners in Manchester work together more effectively by networking activists in and around Manchester who are working for positive change on issues of peace, development, environment, human rights, animal rights and other areas of social justice and to increase the awareness in Manchester and surrounds of these issues. To achieve the above aims, the Networking Newsletter Project will publish a regular newsletter, organise sessions for people to share campaigning and networking skills, help establish and support networks for people working in these issues, hold information relevant to campaigners, act as a clearing house for requests and offers of training, information and skill sharing on these issues, maintain a suitable ethical code of conduct in line with concerns arising from the above issues and undertake other activities from time to time, that the committee believes helps to promote the organization or its aims.
