Mixed Fortunes for the Bop

The "Mixed Benefits Bops", that were happening every other month, have ceased due to increasing hire costs! The idea of a bop likely to attract a group of people older than those that city centre clubs cater for, and having in common an attachment to social justice as shown in the list of intended beneficiaries (FoE, AI, NSPCC, Oxfam) is still one the organizers think is workable but,as they say, it required more marketing effort than originally anticipated. Quite possible they will try again in 2004 but with more publicity & formal organisation. Anyone interested in reviving the idea should contact [email protected]
