CSV Volunteers Go for it

Volunteers from CSV GO Manchester have been busy in the last few months taking an active part in, and boosting, local communities through a variety of hands-on projects all over Manchester. September saw a range of worthwhile venues and organisations benefit from the fantastic efforts of the GO volunteers. The Women's Action Forum in Moss Side, a community centre providing free advice and support to secure training, education and employment opportunities, saw its Internet portal room given a fresh lick of paint. The Minehead Centre in Withington, a day activity centre for local elderly people, got a huge helping hand from an enthusiastic team in creating a new gardening area for service users. Also, the Irk Valley Project gave volunteers an active role in its bulb-planting scheme at the Sand Street site in Collyhurst.
