April 1: March from Platt Fields

It was chilly and wet but people turned out in van loads... twas just a shame those people were wearing illuminous jackets and contempt on their faces... yep the march was massively outnumbered by the police with over 1 riot van per person!!!

The Rusholme 7 Against the War didnt lose spirits though and continued to march down wilmslow road chanting.. talking to passers by about the war and handing out leaflets... and generally getting very good and positive responses from all...

Though the main victory of the march was managing to waste so much police time and effort... with 6 police vehicles giving up on us after half an hour we were still followed slowly all the way to the university by two riot vans full of watching eyes... and bored faces when we continuously stopped to chat to locals and to do more photocopying!!!

We were even offered a lift buy the boys in blue... but obviously declined...

Was a little disappointing that more protesters didnt brave the miserable weather but all in all we managed to april fool the filth big time...
