"First Steps" offers free training to small organizations with up to 2 full-time workers to consider their long-term networks, deeper involvement, growth, skills, resource raising and inspiration, examining these within the framework of monitoring, evaluation, roles and responsibilities, marketing, planning, financial management and fund raising.

Greater Manchester Centre for Voluntary Organisation (GMCVO) launched it's online training directory at the end of January 2003. Initially, the searchable database will include details of training courses taking part in Greater Manchester, expanding to cover the whole of the North West in 2004. Many training providers, including Directory for Social Change, Women's Electronic Village Hall and GMCDP Disability Awareness Training, have registered bu GMCVO are hoping more trainers will visit the site and register their courses.
